Awesome place with excellent Wi-Fi, a friendly bar area, and a 24-hour reception. The staff even returned my forgotten hairbrush. I highly recommend enjoying the rooftop lounge. I'm coming back for Christmas!

Central location meant that we could walk everywhere easily. Breakfast was good with a fantastic view over the Trevi Fountain. The smell of roasted chestnuts from the corner vendor was very evocative. A sense of antiquity in the building but nice crisp linens on the bed.
Rather sombre waitress. Lots of street noise at night unless the double-glazed windows were closed.

Air conditioning, an electronic key card, and a TV available in the king room. The fountain view and great service.

Had en suite room with a view, and I couldn't ask for more. Climate control, flat-screen television and an electronic key card were good. The location was incredible and the staff was efficient and excellent during the whole stay!

This is a quaint historical hotel with its biggest attraction being its location and the history of the establishment and (see below) its view. The staff were very helpful and friendly (Especially Issac) An added bonus was English is spoken fluently
The size of the rooms and unfortunately there was scaffolding preventing the view

Perfect choice when staying in Rome for a couple of days. Nice staff, wonderful roof terrace - but - the rooms are small.

Fantastic location right at Trevi fountain at a very attractive rate for Rome. Staff was helpful and great breakfast, on a 4th floor covered terrace, was enhanced by looking right down at the Trevi fountain. Our room was somewhat small [normal for Rome], air conditioning worked and was quiet because it was an inside room. Outside rooms apparently can be noisy since Trevi rocks til the wee hours.

A nice getaway with friends! We loved exploring the Colosseum and the Vatican. The rooftop breakfast overlooking the fountain was a fantastic start to each day. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Just a heads up, if you're sensitive to noise, the fountain area might be a bit lively at night.
One downside was that the rooms felt a bit outdated, especially the bathrooms. Our shower needed a bit of work, which affected our experience.

The view would have been the best thing but unfortunately we could not see anything due to the building work. It would have been nice to know about this before we commited to booking. However once outside the hotel it was amazing. Very clean room & reception area. Good quality fixtures.
The reception staff (1 man particular) not very friendly, made us feel like we were a 'nuisance'. Not very skilled in pleasant communication! Also our electric was turned off every time we left the room., which is not a problem but on returning we had to come back downstairs to ask for it to be put back on. As we had to ask for our room key it would be common sense for the reception staff to switch it on for us then!!

The rooftop breakfast with a fine view of the fountain was a highlight.
The shower had low water pressure, quite inconvenient.

The best thing about Hotel Fontana is its location. Watch beautiful Fontana Trevi while at breakfast. In the middle of the center- walking distance to most sights, bus stop nearby to go to Vatican Vity (bus number 62). Very Clean facility! Bathroom fully renovated and very clean-good. I would have stayed again. (I had booked a double room but then called the hotel to change this into a quadruple room as a friend wanted to join us)
We stayed in a room with 4 beds (we were 3 together), the room was a roof version. At some points ceilings are lower, and we did not enjoy that. Breakfast is not rich but pretty good (for a Mediterranean style). It is pretty much enough, with 2 types of cheese, salami, butter, croissants & bread, juice and tea and coffee, olives, olive oil, tomatoes etc... All choices were good quality and delicious.

the breakfast room looks over the fountain
the hotel staff were very rude to all customers and everyone complained. The staff were unwilling to listen and lied their way out of discussions. The food was ok, but the rooms were dirty and loud and no one could sleep.

The hotel has the best location at the heart of Rome.Only for this don't hesitate to book it!You can go everywhere on foot and the metro station is very close. The room was large and very clean. The breakfast room had a unique and unforgettable view of the Fontana di Trevi.
The breakfast had limited choices and the ladies serving were quite rude. Smiling is free and it should be a must for a hotel's staff. They commented rudely when we used a coffee cup for milk!!I saw other reviews mentioning this attitude and i question why the hotel insists on not changing that.It is a great hotel and it shouldn't be spoiled by staff's attitude.Overall it is a great hotel and its worth 100%!
